Everyday I see love and pain.
I see people blinded to unfailing hope.
I see people dying without hope.
Literally she might die tomorrow.
there is no doubt that I want to be a nurse.
there is a lot of beauty in this world, that is a fact.
my heart is breaking.
and it's a beautiful thing to feel.

this is a lot of work. everyone around me is stressed out, and i am trying not to let it affect me. I need to find a coffee shop that know one knows about and turn my phone off. stress is not the way God intended me to be and I refuse to identify with it. ready for morning coffee, dance parties, and hours of fluid electrolyte balance studying.

nursing school consumes most of my time, and I feel like I have no balance of friendships outside of school anymore. It makes me want to cry sometimes. It's only 2 years of my life to live this intensely focused on school.
today I met a 24 year patient on the oncology unit, he had the most aggressive type of brain cancer possible, gliobastoma. I am still trying to gather my emotions. He got married a few weeks ago and may only have a few weeks left to live.
My nursing friend got really freaked out by the supernatural healing power of Jesus. She had severe cramps when we were driving out to starbucks to meet up with some other nursing friends. She was worried it was her appendix and we were debating going to the hospital. I prayed for her and she couldn't believe that she was instantly healed. That's how Jesus works. She texted me later that night and said her heart was open to God in a new way and she wants more of it. She asked to read one of my Christian books, so i gave her a Heidi Baker book about miracles in the poorest parts of the world. She also wants to come to church with me and learn everything she can. We plan on traveling to India in the future together.

brief update...
All I want is Jesus. My closest friends are the same way. I am so blessed. I am so in LOVE!!! My friends are so hungry to just encounter Jesus. I love that it's natural to just get together and then start praying and worshiping... that's how it should be. We shouldn't have to plan to meet up and talk about Jesus, it should always be happening!!! I recently started getting to know a few of my sisters friends from her Spanish speaking church. I went to go get coffee with her friend Oksana (she is so cute and from Africa) before Oksana and I even started talking she says, "Okay sister, let's pray." It blessed me so much!
I have had a pretty amazing summer.. Honduras and Thailand!!! Before this summer I have never been anywhere out of the country except Windsor, Canada. It was so empowering to know that God will provide. If God gives you a revelation of something He WILL see that it comes to pass!! I am so thankful for this. Jesus you always make a WAY! It's not in vain that I want to travel the world as a medical missionary. That is a God placed desire that He has implanted in my heart and He WiLL make a WAY!! thank you JESUS!
There have been some pretty great opportunities recently where God has brought people my way so He could use me to love them. Just last week I took my little Jordan to this place called "Play Cafe." It's a coffee shop with a playscape for kids, but luckily parents/babysittiers can go on the playscape too. Jordan and I got to pray with a little 7 year old girl and teach her about Jesus. She asked Jesus into her heart on the playscape that day.

at internet cafe with Thai soap opera on TV and monks shopping across the street... We rode in the back of a truck while the rain poured down singing loud. going to a village tonight to love some more people! resurrection power!yeah yeah! I miss american toilets a little bit... I like teaching my thai friends cool american phrases like "keepin it real yo"and "holla" The church we are at in this village is amazing!
